Paid partnership with HomeExchange. I receive membership support and GuestPoints, including points through referrals.
Join HomeExchange with my code to receive 250 extra GuestPoints: 100 when you complete your home listing, then 150 when you activate your membership.
One detail before you head off: this is a GuestPoints referral bonus. It does not take money off the membership fee. The code goes in your profile’s referral field, not the promo-code box at payment.
The right code in the wrong box is a surprisingly efficient way to spend an afternoon. Here is the shorter route.
How to use my HomeExchange code
If you haven’t created an account yet
- Open my HomeExchange referral link and create your account.
- Check your profile’s referral section for FEELGOODFRENCH.
- Complete your home listing for the first 100 bonus GuestPoints.
- When you activate your paid membership, you receive the remaining 150.
You can read the official referral conditions here.
If you already created an account
HomeExchange explains how to add the person who referred you after signing up.
Go to My account → My profile → Social and Network → Have you been referred? Enter FEELGOODFRENCH in that field.
If another referrer is already recorded, or you have already paid and are asking about a previous bonus, contact HomeExchange support about your account. Creating another account is not the solution.
Promo code, discount code, referral code: what do you actually get?
If you searched for a “HomeExchange promo code” or “HomeExchange discount code”, you may have met several different offers using very similar language.
Here is the useful distinction:
| The code you have | What it gives you | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| FEELGOODFRENCH, my referral code | 250 extra GuestPoints, received in two stages | Your profile’s referral field |
| A membership-discount code issued by HomeExchange | Money off the membership, according to that offer’s terms | The promo-code field at payment |
HomeExchange’s payment-code instructions confirm that these are different things. For a current money-off promotion, check the official offers page.
My offer is the points bonus above. No mystery percentage. No countdown that restarts every time you open the page.
Why isn’t my HomeExchange code working?
Before abandoning the idea, check which of these matches what you are seeing:
| What happened | What to do |
|---|---|
| The payment page rejects FEELGOODFRENCH | Add it in your profile’s referral section instead. It is not a membership-discount code. |
| You received 100 points, not 250 | The referral bonus has two stages. The other 150 comes with membership activation. |
| You already made an account without the link | Use the profile route above to add the referrer, following HomeExchange’s guidance. |
| You are trying an old percentage-off offer | Check its dates and terms on HomeExchange. A code in an old comment may belong to an offer that has ended. |
For an account-specific problem, HomeExchange support can check what has actually been applied. A public article cannot see your account, however enthusiastically it offers to help.
What can you do with 250 GuestPoints?
GuestPoints let you arrange a stay with a member who does not need to visit your home in return. You can receive more by hosting other members.
The 250 points are an addition to your balance, not a fixed number of nights. Look at the GuestPoints value of the home you want and the total for your dates. A useful calculation is:
The stay’s required GuestPoints − your available GuestPoints = the gap to plan for.
That matters more than a promise of “three free nights” on a coupon page. Your chosen home may tell a different story. The official GuestPoints guide explains the system.
Other welcome bonuses and temporary campaigns have their own conditions. Treat those separately from the 250-point referral bonus here; a larger figure in a search result does not automatically describe what this code gives you.
Why I recommend HomeExchange for France
I was using HomeExchange before becoming a partner. My first stay was in Belleville in Paris, where I looked after an extremely independent cat called Jojo. In Bordeaux, I had a view towards Saint-Michel. In Sanary-sur-Mer, I started looking at property websites. This last activity was not included in the itinerary.
What I like is having a home in a neighbourhood I can get to know. Somewhere to make coffee, bring the shopping back to and return to after a day out.
If you are deciding whether it would suit you, my HomeExchange experience and France scouting-trip guide goes into the practical side. You will need a home you can offer and time to agree on an exchange; check participation requirements if you are unsure about your situation.
A few last questions before you join
Does FEELGOODFRENCH reduce the annual membership price?
It gives you extra GuestPoints. The membership fee is separate. It is not a money-off renewal code either.
Do I get all 250 GuestPoints as soon as I create an account?
No. Complete your home listing for 100, then activate membership for the other 150.
Is this an exclusive bonus?
It is HomeExchange’s standard 250-GuestPoints referral benefit. FEELGOODFRENCH identifies me as the member who referred you. Using it also gives me GuestPoints, so thank you if you choose mine.
Can I use a separate discount offer as well?
Check the terms of that specific HomeExchange promotion. The fields serve different purposes; the existence of a referral code does not establish that a particular discount can be combined with it.
Ready to have a look? Join through my HomeExchange link, or enter FEELGOODFRENCH in your profile. Then you can start looking for the place you would actually like to stay.
