Olivia teaches from Paris and brings Greek roots, studies in Spain, family ties in Uruguay, and a background in translation and theatre. Patient and encouraging, she helps you speak at your pace and enjoy the exchange.

Questions before you join?
Can I join before I move to France?
Yes. You can practise everyday situations before they happen in person. The class is online, so you can join from abroad.
I learned French at school ages ago and feel I’ve forgotten it all. Is this for me?
Yes, if you feel you are still near the beginning. The group welcomes complete beginners, people who have studied a little on their own, rusty returners, and those who know some French but still hesitate to speak. You do not need to start from zero or arrive confident. Olivia adapts the practice to the people in the room, and the everyday themes let you practise at your own starting point.
What if I’m not ready to speak in a group?
You do not need to be quick or fluent. Olivia gives everyone room to try and ask for repetition. You can join in at your own pace.

Two-month commitment: €160 at enrolment for November and €160 on 1 December (€320 total). From 1 January, your €160 monthly payment continues automatically unless you cancel before the next charge.
Why do some months have more classes?
The fee is even across the season: November 4 classes, December 3, January 4, February 4, March 5, April 3, May 4 and June 5. Stay for the full season and eight payments total €1,280 for 32 classes, an average of €40 per class. If you leave earlier, your average may differ.

November: 3, 10, 17, 24. December: 1, 8, 15. January: 5, 12, 19, 26. February: 2, 9, 16, 23. March: 2, 9, 16, 23, 30. April: 13, 20, 27. May: 4, 11, 18, 25. June: 1, 8, 15, 22, 29.
All dates are Tuesdays at 16:00 France time. That is usually 10:00 US Eastern, except 16 and 23 March 2027, when it is 11:00 Eastern because daylight saving dates differ.
Five paid places are available. Your first €160 payment covers November and is taken when you enrol. The next €160 payment is on 1 December.

Is this your kind of group?
Can my partner and I join together?
Of course. You are both welcome, but each person needs their own place, signup and payment for the group. If you would prefer to learn together in a private lesson, ask us about French classes for couples.
Why is each class 75 minutes?
A private lesson can be shorter. In a small group, 75 minutes gives everyone time to speak, listen and try again without rushing. There is room to relax, get to know one another and enjoy the conversation.
Is this an A2 exam course?
No. This group focuses on everyday speaking and listening. If you have a formal A2 deadline, contact Déborah to discuss the right route.
What happens over Christmas?
The last December class is 15 December. Olivia and the same group return on 5 January. The WhatsApp group remains available for classmates to stay in touch during the break.
How does the two-month commitment work?
You commit to November and December: €160 when you enrol for November, then €160 on 1 December (€320 total for seven live classes). From 1 January, €160 renews monthly unless you cancel before the next charge. The cancellation route will be shown before you pay.

A few practical terms.
If you miss all or part of a class
There is no separate make-up class, credit or refund for a learner absence. You will receive the private recording link so you can catch up.
Class recordings
Every class is recorded for this group only. A private link is shared with enrolled learners and stays available for 30 days. Recordings are for personal catch-up, not sharing or publication. Your voice, name or image may appear; you may keep your camera off.
If we cancel a class or the group
We will offer a replacement class. If that is not possible, we will refund the relevant part of the fee. If the group does not start, all payments are refunded.
